12 Multi-Level Security

The AlphaGIGABIT series is the only router in the world to combine all of these technologies to create a barrier, protecting all 66,536 of your computer’s ports that even the most persistent hacker won’t be able to crack. Say goodbye to identity theft, security breeches, cyber stalkers and other malicious content. 12 Powerful layers of security mechanisms make it virtually impossible for your network to be compromised. Our line up of the world’s most secure networking technologies features the following:

  1. AlphaGAP
The first of its kind in the security market which allows the user to physically or logically disconnect or reconnect seamlessly. AlphaGAP utilizes "Disconnect to Protect" method of security. This is vital in today’s connected world.

“Disconnect from the Internet when not in use…The Internet is a two-way road. You get information and also send information. Turning off the Internet makes sure that someone else on the Internet can't enter your computer and cause harm. Disconnecting your computer from the Internet when you are not online lessens the chance that someone will be able to access your computer.”
    • US Department of Homeland Security
    • National Strategy to Secure Cyberspace

Access to your connected computer system is managed through a Seamless Intelligence Infrastructure to monitor inbound and outbound data. Once AlphaGAP is activated, it can provide 100% bulletproof network security to the user.

  2. AlphaGAP Scheduler
One of the many benefits of AlphaGAP is its ease of use. AlphaGAP Technology automatically ensures that access to the connected computer system is disabled by creating a virtual GAP (disconnection) following a pre-determined Internet idle interval (15 minutes). This automated system is managed by an intelligent timing mechanism known as the AlphaGAP scheduler, so you can know you’re protected without even touching a button!

  3. Stateful Packet Inspection (SPI)
SPI Technology utilizes Artificial Intelligence Infrastructure to monitor inbound and outbound data between the connected computer and the network or Internet. AlphaShield uses Artificial Intelligence infrastructure to determine what is allowed in to the computer. When surfing the Internet, AlphaShield will create a tunnel between your IP address and the destination IP address and only allow the requested information to enter your computer through the specified port. SPI also blocks all 65,536 ports by default without requiring any configurations.

  4. Network Address Translation (NAT)
Network Address Translation (NAT) is a way to map an entire network (or networks) to a single IP address. Your single router will act as an agent between the Internet (or "public network") and a local (or "private") network. This means that only a single, unique IP address is required to represent your entire network. This means that you are protected from potentially dangerous content, not only over your computer, but also over every computer on your network. According to the Gibson Research Corporation, “With a NAT router protecting your connection to the Internet — even if you only have one computer on the LAN behind the router — none of the Internet scanning and worms and hackers and other annoying and malicious Internet nonsense can get to your computer or computers.” When combined with the 11 other powerful layers of security featured on the AlphaGIGABIT series of routers, common security threats are no match.

  5. IP Stealth Technology
IP Stealth Technology conceals or cloaks the user's computer identity from being seen across the Internet or network, while it allows the user to surf the Internet or network safely and freely. Since the user cannot be identified or located, the user's risks are greatly reduced from any threats of scans, probes or attacks.
Even if everyone on the Internet has your IP address, no one can access your computer or steal anything. The only time someone can see you or communicate with you is when you are interacting with them in real-time. This technology creates a two-way mirror whereby you can see everyone, but no one can see you. Even if everyone on the Internet has your IP address, your computer is invisible or non-existent to everyone. You are only visible to the person whom you are communicating with in real-time.

  6. Inclusion and Exclusion MAC Address Filtering
Running a network without MAC Address Filtering capabilities is dangerous. Any client can connect to your network simply by knowing the network name. However, by enabling this security feature, an additional parameter of encryption is added, using a 48-digit MAC address to protect your network even further.

  7. Inbound Filter with IP Filtering
The Inbound Filter option allows users to control data received from the Internet based on an IP address range. Inbound Filters can be used for limiting access to a server on your network to a system or group of systems. Filter rules can be used with various features: Virtual Server, Port Forwarding, or Remote Administration.

  8. Parental Access Control & DMZ Option
The Parental Access Control option in the AlphaGIGABIT series of routers ensures safe networking for the whole family. The routers use a series of high-performance security features including URL blocking, Domain blocking, and IP address blocking. URL blocking allows parents to block websites with domain names that contain specific words. Domain blocking allows parents to input the web address of a specific site and block all sub sites that are listed off of the main domain in addition to the home page. IP address blocking allows parents to block any sites with changing URLs or no URLs once they obtain the IP address. Parents can block access to any specific website they deem to be inappropriate.
A DMZ (Demilitarized zone) option adds an additional layer of security to your router. This zone creates an area of your network where a potential external attacker only has access to the network within the DMZ, rather than the whole of the network.

  9. Web Filtering
  10. IPSec, VPN, Application Level Gateway
IPSec (Internet Protocol Security) provides security at the packet-processing layer of network communication. As well, VPN (Virtual Private Network) settings allow secure remote connections to game servers or to you workplace!

  11. WEP 64 and 128 Bit Encryption
Wired Equivalent Privacy (WEP) encryption uses a combination of secret user keys and system-generated values designed to give wireless networks the equivalent level of privacy protection as a comparable wired network. Combined as part of an overall wireless network security system, WEP encryption has been proven to be extremely effective.

  12. WPA & WPA2 Enterprise Level Security with TKIP and AES Encryption
The AlphaGIGABIT line of routers features the WPA & WPA 2 Enterprise Levels of Security, created by the Wi-Fi Alliance for maximum network protection.
